Key Features

The Digital Sense data centre is built, engineered and designed to International Standards bringing the highest-level quality of raised floor space to the local market with the help of design teams that have completed numerous internationally recognised computer rooms. Built with the best solution technology and products the industry has to offer, the raised floor space caters for the general co-location market as well as high-density computing clients.

  • The Data centre is built and designed to TIA/EIA International Tier 3 standard specifications, following the strictest guidelines of these standards covering all facets of security, location and also the extreme level of redundancy required to deliver this quality of space.
  • Digital Sense provides high-speed diverse fibre paths connected to the CBD and other key technology centres within Brisbane. This enables Digital Sense customers to benefit from primary and secondary high speed links at low cost.
  • The Digital Sense design is a modular build making it scalable with a high level of redundant power and a flexible cooling capacity to cater for all client solutions.
  • Internal flooring is 1500kg/m2 Tasman Access anti-static concrete core tiles giving loading strength to cater for more powerful client equipment as technology continues to cater for higher density computing within a smaller footprint.
  • Digital Sense is manned 24×7 providing onsite security, network operations and on call maintenance staff. This ensures that customer’s equipment is secure and accessible in a well maintained environment.
  • The facility uses CCTV security camera monitoring systems, motion detection and event recording for viewing and reviewing of events with 90days footage stored to satisfy GITC and PCI Level 1 clients if required.
  • Biometric technology is used for entry into secured rooms. Each of the rooms within the facility are protected by solid core filled walls providing security and fire rating.
  • Personnel traps are located at every ingress and egress point of the facility protecting the data halls from emergency exits and loading docks. This ensures that only authorised personnel have access to secured sections of the facility.
  • Through Digital Sense’s detailed monitoring, reporting, security and auditing tools Digital Sense is able to service customers that require GITC certification and PCI Level 1 compliance.
  • Digital Sense has a loading dock, delivery bay and a staging room for configuring and testing of equipment before the hardware enters the live space, this ensures that the data centre environment is maintained to the highest standard at all times.
  • Digital Sense is conveniently located in the inner western corridor approximately 10km from the CBD. The location for the facility was selected according to the TIA/EIA 942 standard to ensure its compliance with international hosting requirements.
  • The facility was designed, engineered and commissioned to be scalable, modular, redundant and secure. The data centre is located in an area that is 62 meters above sea level and is not within 100m of a Q100 flood zone (TIA/EIA 942 standard). The entire data centre has been water-sealed with sumps and pumps installed to cater for any possible water ingress.
  • Digital Sense enforces that no packaging enters the raised floor space to ensure the highest quality environment for client hardware protection and facility risk mitigation.
