With a 2N power solution from its own substation supplying diverse feeds and integrating Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Digital Sense along with the support of Emerson Network Power was able to build the ultimate system that delivers reliable power with superior uptime levels.

• Digital Sense has 4 dedicated 1.5MVA transformers currently installed within its own substation to power the Data Centre. The substation has two independent mains feeds connected by rings mains units to provide power to the transformers from either grid.
• Digital Sense has a full dual bus (2N) electrical system, meaning that all elements of the Digital Sense data centre power design are concurrently maintainable and serviceable without interruption to the data centre facility.
• Digital Sense has Dual Power Distribution, Dual UPS Busses, Dual Mechanical Distribution and three way (primary feed, secondary feed & generator) input ATS switches on the input from each system in order to allow each system to be powered from any available feeder further increasing power reliability.
• Onsite fuel storage provides a minimum of 48 hours runtime of the generators. Backed up by refuelling contracts, Digital Sense provides emergency power generation indefinitely in the event of power disruptions.
• Dual diverse and redundant power buses supply each rack with a true 2N solution to the client’s equipment. These power buses reinforce Digital Sense’s ability to deliver continuous clean power to customers equipment and perform critical maintainable concurrently without customer impact.
